Greets: It's a new month folks over at the Kim Possible: Remixed Webcomic. Please be sure to take the time to vote using the voting links. They'll open in a new window so it won't take you away from the comic. I'll try to throw up new captions into the voting pages so you'll get a reason to vote. :) To give you folks a reason to vote, I'm going to have some fun. On June 1st, we're going to have over 25 new captions displayed, one an hour plus more during the day. And for the rest of the month, we're going to run 4 a day. (I have over 800 of these things in the queue. Gotta put them up somehow.) Thanks again for visiting and please remember to vote every day. Thanks, -drmike

A long while back, I posted a method of downloading YouTube videos and saving them to your desktop. Since then, the method has been updated and it looks like YouTube is making part of the number session dependent which means that it changes every time you view it. Lots of fun.

In the comment section of the new post is also a link to where you can type in the URL of the video you want and it will be automatically downloaded for you. Unfortunetly, I'm on a locked down terminal today so I can't try it myself. Hopefully someone will report back on it.

YouTube Downloader

edit: Fixed link to the downloader since we're now hosting a local copy of it.

After having a discussion with my webhost and after making a few changes to the software, I've gone ahead and brought Daria.be back online. The site allows you to have your very own WordPress blog without worrying about any of the hassles of installation or site administration. We have almost 50 themes already installed plug widget support.

Thanks,
-drmike
It's an old one but a goodie.

I'm sitting here reading an article about the search for Jimmy Hoffa and for some reason I can picture him sitting somewhere laughing at all of this. :)

Still here :)

Been busy with the WordPress.com support forums as well as the ones over at WordPress MU and stuff for Daria.be. Haven't even had a change to work on my Kim Possible Fanfiction either and I really wanted to get some of that finished this weekend. And I've been having issues with this new theme and it's sidebar. Still looks like crap. Also been trying to figure out a way to pay for my webhosting as well. Spent too much helping out other people this month as well as on hardware with my hosting company so I couldn't pay myself this month. I have to keep my sites away from my servers for legal reasons. Anyone spare $6 bucks via paypal? :)
014.jpgKP: So you think you know me, don't you Ron?

Ron: Um yeah. We've known each other since pre-k, KP.

KP: That's what you think, Ronald.

Ron: Um...

KP: I've got a drawer full of leather.

Ron: Oh, OK. I think I can live with that. I've saw you in that leather skirt before.

KP: A huge stash of ropes and chains in the attic.

Ron: Um...

KP: A hard drive full of stories that I've read over and over again.

Ron: KP, you're scaring me.

KP: And now I have a boyfriend willing to let me put him through all that.

Ron: **AARRGGHH!!** (He runs away)

KP: *sigh* Oh, he'll be back. I've got the keys to his scooter.

A startup whose aggressive antispam measures drew a blistering counterattack from spammers two weeks ago that brought down the company's servers along with a wide swath of the internet is shuttering its program targeting junk e-mailers.

In an interview with Wired News, Blue Security CEO Eran Reshef said the Israel-based company was closing its service Wednesday. He did not want to be responsible for an ever-escalating war that could bring down internet service providers and websites around the world and subject its users to denial-of-service attacks from a well-organized group controlling a massive army of computer drones."

"aggressive antispam" Could have sworn that they were one of the spammers.
Podz has asked me to work on some FAQs and help files covering the Wordpress Widgets. Since I had planned on doing this anyway for the my own WordPress MU website, I thought I would send them over there as well.

Let's see what WordPress.com has as theirs:

    Archives
    Blog Stats
    Calendar
    Categories
    del.icio.us
    Flickr
    Links
    Meta
    Pages
    Recent Comments
    Recent Posts
    RSS
    Search
    Text

And Daria.be has:

    Archives
    Calendar
    Categories
    del.icio.us
    Google Adsense
    Google Search
    del.icio.us
    Links
    Meta
    Pages
    Recent Comments
    Recent Posts
    RSS
    Search
    Text

Which means we have to install a Blog Stat widget and the Flickr widget to make them even.

Now to write the FAQs on them.

Installed a new theme today. Please give it a try. I think it's kind of neat. Give it a try today over at Daria.be.
