One of the complaints about the Harry Potter series is how the American versions of the books have been “dumped down” or “localized” for the typical American readers.
Gotta admit though that I don’t think the books have been that reduced in quality, even though that have been Americanized. What would happen though if JK’s editors had gone all out and made it for their American audience. Here’s one version:
I actually remember watching this on Reading Rainbow. Actually got a kick out of the food being thrown into the trash.
I noticed this morning that another blog linked to my post about the seventh Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, being available for download. (We think it’s a fake by the way in case you’re seeing this for the first time.)
It’s given me a boost in the stats though. Best day we’ve ever had here:

I’m tagging this a Harry Potter Fanfiction for a very specific reason. I came across this website promoting a leaked copy of the 7th Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I don’t think it’s a legit site because J. K. Rowling said that the last word of the last noval was going to be ‘scar’ and that’s not true for these downloads. I think it’s someone’s fanfiction.
*shrug* But we’ll give it a mention.
edit: Typo fixed.
reedit: Here’s the download links. Please note as per the comment’s, we think it’s fanfiction:
JKRowling.com has recently been updated with news that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in the series, will be released on July 21st, 2007, one week after the fifth movie hits theaters.
The hardcover will sell for $34.99 with the deluxe edition fetching
$65.00. These high prices could mean the book will be longer than any
of the previous six.
Get ready for the kids to go through withdrawal soon afterwards. There will be no more!
I wonder if Nosy has seen these pictures yet. 😉
Daniel Radcliffe’s been working out, getting ready for his nude scenes in the play “Equus” in London. The 17-year-old actor posed without his shirt and glasses for a series of sexy shots to plug the show that opens Feb. 27.
Not only will the “Potter” star appear on stage nude, but he will have a sex scene in the dramatic play.
He’s only 17. Do you think he would get away with it here in the States?
