Just a quick plug for a webcomic I recently came across, Customers Suck!  It's weekly and they have a forum as well.

For the last few weeks, I've been helping out James Farmer and the folks over at Edublogs in their support forum.  While there, I've been keeping track of The Edublogger, a blog hosted on Edublogs and written by Sue Waters.  She writes about using blogs as a tool in education.

Anyway, I've noticed some wonderful looking screencaptures on her site.  She tells me that she uses a software called SnagIT.

I'll have to give it a try some time soon.

HalfBaked160x90.jpgYou're going to have issues going back through the archives but I wanted to give a quick plug for Half Baked, a webcomic that was suggested to me.  The back and forward arrows sometimes don't work but you can manually edit the URL to see the next comic.  Give it a try.

And if you like that one, they have more webcomics on their main site.

Bruce Waginslaw left a comment awhile back on my post where I was asking folks to suggest some webcomics for me. He suggested two that he does. Gotta admit that I'm more into story line webcomics like Multiplex, MegaTokyo (which I still have problems spelling) and Order of the Stick while these are more one panel works but I did get a chuckle out of them so I'll give him a plug and add them into the links page.

Savage Chickens and WebDonuts

Give them a try today and let me know what you think.  When you visit Savage Chickens, to flip through the comics, take a look at the Cartoons box along the left hand side.  That lists the current comic you're looking at as well as the previous ones.  That's the only way I could figure out how to go through the previous comics.

If anyone else cares to suggest a comic, please feel free to do so in the comments to this post.

Ninja Burger

ninjaburger.jpgA quick plug for Ninja Burger as well as the Charlotte Transit category here on the blog since Google's spiders can't see it too well.  The video, found after the break, got a chuckle out of me as well.

Rumor has it that you can grab the Ninja Burger RPG core rulebook (the older first edition, not he newer second edition I'm afraid.) from here.

As some folks have noted, I've had some photos here on the site recently.  Awhile back one of the folks I helped over in wordpress.com land went out and purchased themselves a new digital camera.  Not knowing what to do with their older one, they dropped me an email and asked if I wanted it.  Gotta admit that I've never felt comfortable with taking photos because of my thyroid tremor so even though I said yes, I was concerned about how they would come out.

Well I finally got a chance to offload the images from the camera.  You'll note that some of them are from last year.  I realized that I didn't have any card reader to read the SD card included with the camera.  Tommy and Donna from over at Brandon's Smile Ministry (I'm still trying to get Google to see their site first with a search for the name instead of mine.) were nice enough to go out and buy me a reader as well as a charger.

Yes, some of the photos are very blurry.  I know that and pointing this out to me will just bother me so please don't do it.  Some photos I took 4 or 5 times trying to get a decent picture.  Heck, Donna took most of the street pictures in there.

I've got to go back and organize them and give them descriptions.  I'll do that in a day or two.

Dr. Mike's Gallery

edit: Someone care to name the gallery?  Or is Dr. Mike's Gallery good enough?

reedit: I've not given credit to the person who sent me the camera as I noticed that their site is no longer hosted on wp.com.  I don't know where they've moved to and I don't have their email address handy.  If they see this, please feel free to leave me a comment and I'll be happy to give a link and publicly thank you.

Today's Crazy Thought

churchsign.jpgSeen on a church's bulletin board:

Christmas without Christ is worthless

Um, wouldn't Christmas without Christ be mas(s)?

edit: And a plug for the Church Sign Generator.
Brandons_Smile.jpgA quick plug for Brandon's Smile Ministry.  I've known Tommy and Donna Hendley for a bit now as they help feed breakfast on Saturday mornings with Calvary Church out on the street.  They handed out about 150 loaded backpacks a couple days before Christmas to the local homeless after breakfast. (Heck, I took one.  You should see what my duffel back looks like.)

edit: I need to get a better copy of the logo.  It's actually the patch from one of the backpacks.
StraticsandLookingForGroup_800x600.jpgI've started reading Looking For Group, a webcomic I came across while reading Least I Could Do.

edit: I've gone ahead and added it to the links page as well. I really need to clear that page up someday.

New Webcomic: Lowdown75

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
natwitch1.jpg OK, I know I need to sit down and work on the links page because there's a bunch in there that's out of date.  Changed URLs, new webcomics I've been reading, some comics have died, etc.

Anyway....

Here's one a picked up a bit.  Lowdown75.  It's about goth teenagers.  The color's rather funkie but I like it.

Here's the problem though.  The creator has desided to take a vacation that's now turned into an indefinite hiatus.  *sigh*  The comics go back to 2003 though so it'll take you a bit to read.
